Dress Code

Dress codes can have a negative connotation/feel, this is not our intention. The dress code is created to simplify and help us to create a culture and atmosphere that is beautifully set up for gleaning and learning.

What are we showing up to do? – Work out, lounge, hang out, sleep, or are we here to glean all that is available. When our scholars open their closets in the morning to get dressed we want them to think about what they are wearing, what is the right attire to be ready to begin learning.

Women’s attire – business casual – This means pants including: dark jeans, black, or navy. Shirts can be plain t-shirts, blouses, button ups, and sweaters. Absolutely no graphics or logos.  Dresses are warmly welcomed. They need to be long enough that when you sit your dress comfortably covers your knees.

Men’s attire – business casual – This means pants including dark jeans,
black, or navy. Shirts can be plain t-shirts, button up, any collared
shirt, sweaters.  Absolutely no graphics or logos.

At Dayspring we want our scholars to show up ready to glean from the knowledge offered. We want this for the boys as well as the girls. When they do this the scholar starts their day ready. Dayspring is school which means it is not a gym or sport,. We do not show up ready to go to sleep or just hang out,. . .

We really want you to be comfortable,  to pay attention and glean from all that is offered. No shorts or tank tops (are they allowed under shirts?) are allowed at any time while at school.

  • NO costumes at any time

  • NO hats

  • NO stretch pants or tank tops

  • NO shorts

  • NO sagging or slouchy clothing

  • NO t-shirts with pictures, sayings, or prints (The only exception would be if we had the Dayspring school logo printed on shirts.

  • NO holes or fading

  • NO unnatural colored hair, for example but not limited to – pink, blue, purple, green, etc. If coloring your hair is your favorite, do it all summer long or do it in a natural color.

  • NO logos or graphics

We have worked to make the dress code simple yet efficient. As you’ve noticed there is no mention of shoes or jackets, Please be mindful of your attire while at school.

Our goal is to have a dress code where all are happy. Please help us to keep it this way.

We reserve the right to get smarter if adjustments are needed.
