Dayspring is a collection of eclectic people that join together to teach their families in a like-minded philosophy of agency-based education.
The “Gates” that we ask our families to walk through (the things we ask that they abide by) are as follows:
1 year of Homeschooling required
Family Interview
Attend an annual school-wide training for parents.
Adhere to an agency-based Education – If a scholar feels ready to “move up” a level in their classes they may request an interview to advance. The interview may include parents, mentors, scholar, and leadership.
The 3C’s of Grace – Recognize that everyone is doing their very best. Have Continuous Compassionate Communication while we serve in Dayspring with a ready and willing-to-help attitude.
Understand the dress code and school policies.
Have read and agree with the philosophies behind:
A Thomas Jefferson Education: Teaching a Generation of Leaders for the Twenty-First Century by Oliver DeMille.
The Phases of Learning by Oliver DeMille & Rachel DeMille.
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy.
The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy by William Strauss, Neil Howe.
